Itinerary
- Tour pick-up available at Swissotel Nankai Osaka ot Hotel Granvia Osaka
- Ride a local train from Osaka Station to Kyoto Station.
- Seat-in coach bus is located at Avanti's Sunrise Tours Desk accross Kyoto Station.
- Visit the Nijo Castle (World Heritage Site) - it was built to provide lodging for the Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.

- Visit Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion) - A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.

- Visit Kyoto Imperial Palace or Kitano Tenmangu shrine (if the Palace is closed)
- Lunch at local restaurant
- Visit Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine - the head shrine of some 40,000 inari-jinja shrines located all over Japan. The bright red Senbon Torii gates are a must-see attraction.
- Visit Kiyomizu Temple - The view of Kyoto from the World Heritage Site of Kiyomizu-dera is superb. The historic shopping lane that leads to the temple adds to a wonderful experience.
- Transfer back to Osaka via local train and transfer to hotel on own arrangement.

Reminders
1. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead (Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, Aoi Festival, New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event).
2. Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end or New Year's holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead.
3. Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine (about 15 min one-way).
4. Please note that due to repair and restoration work, part or all of the Kiyomizu-dera Temple Main Hall will not be visible.
5. The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.
6. A Japanese set meal will be served for lunch.
7. Tour arrangement is based on Seat-in coach service.
