Visit the most famous sightseeing spots in Kyoto and Nara, including World Heritage sites, on this round-trip tour from Osaka. This tour is accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter. Visit Kyoto's Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji Temple, and Kyoto Imperial Palace before noon. In the afternoon, visit Nara's Todai-ji Temple, Nara Park, and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Participants will surely enjoy this tour which takes an efficient trip around two historical cities. Itinerary
- Depart from Osaka Station to Kyoto Station via local train with the Guide.
- Tour starts at Avanti's Sunrise Tours Desk (across from Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit).
- Visit Nijo Castle; A World Heritage Site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for the Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see. - Proceed to Kinkakuji Temple. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond. - Visit Kyoto Imperial Palace (except Mondays). On Mondays (and Tuesdays if a national holiday falls on the preceding Monday), this tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead of the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

- Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Todaiji Temple (The Great Buddha) in Nara Park. A World Heritage Site . This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world's largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.
- Proceed to Kasuga Taisha Shrine. This Nara Period shrine is designated as a World Heritage Site. The deer of Nara Park are thought to be the shrine messengers.
- Visit Nara Nagomikan, the largest souvenir shop in Nara.
- Depart from Nara Nagomikan to take local train to Osaka Namba Station.
- Tour ends upon arrival in Osaka Namba Station.

Reminders
1. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. (Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, May for the Aoi Festival, New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event)
2. The tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple instead of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine on May. Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end
New Year's holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead.
3. Participants will walk from the parking lot to Todai-ji Temple (about 15 min one-way). Thank you for your understanding. Please inform us at the time of booking if any person in your group is using crutches or a wheelchair, or has a chronic illness that makes it difficult to walk for long distances.
4. At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring admission.
5. Nara Nagomikan may be omitted from the itinerary if it is closed on the day of the tour, or as a result of traffic congestion.
6. The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.
7.Tour arrangement is based on Seat-in coach service.
8. Rate is subject to change without prior notice and subject to availability upon booking.
